It’s his job to determine where and how we can best support innovation to solve some of the most pressing issues of our time.
Prior to Nesta, Oliver worked for the Chief Economist of the Australian Department of Industry. His main role was to analyse innovation in various sectors throughout the Australian economy and produce research on the innovation system. He has worked on international trade, intellectual property and innovation policy.
As an economist and self-professed politics nerd, he’s passionate about promoting innovation and ensuring all businesses operate in an environment where they can feel safe to try new things. In Nesta Challenges he works to define projects that let them do just that.
